GIRS is situated on 20 acres of land in pleasant and calm surroundings; at a short distance of 9.5kms from GIRS campus is Makalidurga which has a fort on top, at the height of 1,350mts. The mountains are full with date plants, lemon grass, many more plants and small boulders. At the base of the hillock there is a huge lake.

The campus is with close landmark to Nandi hills which has a calm and serene atmosphere away from hustle and bustle of the IT city Bangalore with various attractive amenities.

Three structured buildings provide excellent facilities like spacious, well lit, well-furnished class rooms, well equipped chemistry, physics and biology labs, audio-visual rooms equipped with latest and the most sophisticated systems, a very big knowledge room, large auditorium that can house 1,000 people, a playing area with the latest play equipments for the KG children, a well-equipped swimming pool for the middle school children and a fine basketball court, is added feather to the GEM cap.

Every care is taken to provide the best play material available and is monitored properly. At play attention is paid to safety, cleanliness and skill development.
